The absolute most popular building block toys out there have to be LEGO building blocks. The LEGO Group has been churning out building block toys for many years and have a very good hold on the market. There are many themes that the LEGO Group utilizes for it’s building block sets. The most popular of these themes is the Star Wars theme.

Star Wars LEGO sets are exploding in popularity at this time. Many Star Wars fans around the globe have transitioned to LEGO fans simply because of the Star Wars themed LEGO sets. This is great for the LEGO community as a whole because the LEGO Group was experiencing some difficulties in the late 90’s. Since the LEGO Group decided to license the Star Wars theme however, this has changed dramitically. With the birth of the Star Wars theme of LEGO sets, many LEGO fans have become Star Wars fans and vice versa. This has spawned a completely new, merged market of Star Wars and LEGO, Star Wars LEGO! You can now find video games, building sets, YouTube videos, T-Shirts and much more with the theme of Star Wars and LEGO merged together!

Star Wars LEGO Sets are a great way to spend time being creative. There are quite a few Star Wars themed sets that have been released by the LEGO Group and many have been discontinued by LEGO. LEGO seems to enjoy creating a demand for their products by limiting supply. Some of the more exciting, rare, popular (and expensive) Star Wars LEGO Sets are as follows:

1. Jango Fett’s Slave I 7153

2. Sith Infiltrator 7663

3. Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith LEGO Sets

The Star Wars themed LEGO sets fan base has grown by leaps and bounds since their release in 1999 and should continue to do so well into the next decade as the LEGO Group has recently extended it’s licensing contract with Star Wars. Expect new releases and more healthy growth from Star Wars LEGO Sets as LucasFilms rolls out new movies to compliment the already amazing series of films that have been released to date. With the introduction of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, LucasFilms is very well setup to continue with that series and LEGO is in a prime position to capitalize on this along with LucasFilms.
