Is a Lego Aeroplane Easy to Build
Planes, trains and cars – how many of us have sat in front of the huge box of lego and built our own plane train or car? I, as most people my in the thirties I expect, grew up playing with lego in some shape or form. I used to love building houses and villages, creating little scenes and my son (now 10) is exactly the same. I have seen him spend hours upon hours creating from his imagination.
It was, however, when I watched him build an aeroplane that I realised of all the lego he has inherited from myself and his father, together with all his own lego, that he actually didn’t have any of the lego aeroplanes.
I decided to look online straight away to see what I could find and was amazed to discover how many sets there actually are. Duplo have a My First Plane for the very small children and each of the various lego branches have their own plane sets. I found that the Temple Escape set for Lego Indiana Jones has a small aeroplane to build, the Lego Star Wars and other space sets have space ships and planes to build but by far the most is the Lego City with its airports all equiped with the necessary planes, cargo planes, passenger planes, even old propeller planes can be built using lego.
With even more research online I discovered various instructions on how to build the lego planes, using bricks we already had and what was really interesting was to find how many people have actually recorded themselves building aeroplanes and uploaded the videos to the internet (youtube etc). The videos were great entertainment and also helped my son with even more ideas for building lego aeroplanes.
To answer the question, how easy is it to build a lego aeroplane? Its as easy as you want it to be, whether you build from your own imagination, from instructions you find online or even from watching a video on the internet, the answer is, as easy as you want it to be!
